A member of the University of Wisconsin System, UW-Stout has over 7,500 students enrolled in 20 graduate and 45 undergraduate programs. The university is located in Menomonie, Wisconsin, 60 minutes east of Minneapolis-St. Paul or 5 hours north of Chicago on Interstate 94. 

UW-Stout is a 2001 Baldrige Award Recipient, supporting a progressive, learning-centered, quality-based educational environment. As a digital campus each eligible undergraduate student is engaged in the e-Scholar program which includes a laptop computer, software, wired and wireless access, along with service and support. 

The following stipulations will apply to students who are admitted to UW-Stout under the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP). 

1. MSEP applicants are subject to the same admissions/program criteria as other UW-Stout applicants. 
2. The student who applies for admission at UW-Stout under the MSEP guidelines will automatically be considered for participation in this agreement. 
3. Enrollment in MSEP is limited to five years. 
4. UW-Stout charges tuition and fees on a per credit basis. 
5. UW-Stout's differential tuition (Access to Learning) is an additional assessment. The assessment is equal to 5% of undergraduate resident tuition or 5% of graduate resident tuition. 
6. All MSEP undergraduate students will be required to participate in the eLearning program (laptop computer program) and will be assessed the per credit user fee for this participation).
7. Minnesota residents should seek enrollment through the Minnesota/Wisconsin Reciprocity Program and thus will not be eligible for the MSEP.
8. Colleges and universities in Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and Ohio all participate in the MSEP program. 
    *Illinois Residents: While Illinois does not participate in the MSEP program, UW-Stout offers Illinois residents a tuition rate equivalent to the MSEP rate.
