The University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point serves over 8,900 students in a wide range of graduate and undergraduate academic programs. It is located in the heart of the state within driving distance of Chicago, Minneapolis, Madison and Milwaukee. The Stevens Point area has a population of approximately 50,000. With its abundance of lakes, streams, and parks, the area offers unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities. The 400-acre campus features a warm, welcoming environment; the beautiful woodlands, marshlands , and meadows of the Schmeeckle Nature Reserve; state of the art facilities; and highly regarded academic programs. The following stipulations apply to MSEP participants at UW - Stevens Point:
- Participants must be legal residents of eligible states (Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska or North Dakota). Minnesota residents are charged tuition fees base on the Minnesota/Wisconsin tuition reciprocity agreement.
- MSEP applicants are subject to the same admission requirements as other applicants. Consult the Admissions Office website for admission information.
- MSEP participants must be formally admitted to UW - Stevens Point at the undergraduate or graduate level. Once admitted, students' applications are reviewed for MSEP eligibility and will receive a letter in the mail within a month after admission to confirm their eligibility.
- Students must be continuously enrolled (fall and spring semesters each year) to maintain participation in MSEP. If students take a leave of absence, their eligibility to re-enroll as an MSEP student will be reviewed at the time they apply for re-entry.
- The University of Wisconsin System imposes an "Excess Credits Surcharge" to students accumulating more than 165 credits. MSEP students will be charged at regular non-resident rates for any term of enrollment after having accumulated 165 credits as MSEP participants.
All undergraduate and graduate programs (including Undeclared/Undecided) are eligible* for MSEP, with the exception of the following programs:
- Health and Wellness Management (undergraduate)
- Health Information Management and Technology (undergraduate)
- Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (graduate)
- Clinical Doctorate in Audiology
