In Kansas, all students participating in the Midwest Student Exchange Program must reside in Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio or Wisconsin.
Requirements for incoming traditional undergraduate freshmen, transfers and adult undergraduate freshmen and transfers:
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student
- Traditional undergraduates and adult undergraduates are considered full-time by taking at least 12 credit hours per semester
- Must be a new student to Friends University
- Must be enrolling for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Must apply by May 1
- Majors in all undergraduate programs (both traditional and adult)
- Must meet Friends admission criteria
To apply for the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) at Friends University, students must submit the application for admission/scholarships at friends.edu/apply.
Friends Admission Criteria
Traditional Undergraduates
- Freshmen and transfers (15+ credit hours) must have a 2.0+ GPA
- Freshmen must have an 18 ACT score or comparable SAT score
Test-Optional Admission
- Minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.25 or equivalent
Adult Undergraduates
- Must have a 2.0+ GPA or a GED composite score of 50+ (if earned prior to 1/1/02) or an average of 450+ (if earned after 1/1/02)
- Transfers (24+ attempted credit hours excluding withdrawals) must have a C average (2.0 GPA) for all transfer work attempted, be in good standing at the last college or university attended and provide college transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges where he or she previously attended prior to admission.
**Award: 10% tuition reduction scholarship for up to four years. The reduced tuition scholarship applies to new-to-Friends students only enrolling during the 2024-2025 academic year.
**Students receiving an athletic or fine arts scholarship are excluded from the MSEP program**
Tuition Rates Explained
Traditional Student Undergraduate Tuition
- Approximately $16,776 per semester
- 100% of our traditional undergraduate receive scholarships.
- MSEP rate decreases tuition to $15,098 per semester
Adult Undergraduate Tuition
- $395 per credit hour
- The MSEP rate decreases the cost to $356 per credit hour.
